Answers to frequently asked questions: 

Can I submit abstracts after the deadline?
No, it is not possible to submit abstracts after the deadline.

How do I create an account?
If it is the first time you log in to an ECNP submission page, please click on ‘Create an account' (below the login fields) to receive your username and password.
  
When and how will I know if I submitted my abstract correctly?
You will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail immediately after submitting your abstract. In addition, your submission will be confirmed by the ECNP Office via e-mail within two weeks after submission. If you have not received a confirmation within this period, please notify the ECNP Office via e-mail.

Can I upload an incomplete version of my abstract in the system and edit/change it before submitting?
Yes, it is possible to save a draft version of your abstract in the system by clicking on the "Save as draft" button on the overview page. The next time you log in to the abstract submission page, you can edit your existing draft or upload an updated version.
Please note: abstracts that have been saved are not yet submitted! To submit your abstract, you must click on the ‘Submit’ button on the overview page.

How do I enter the references of my abstract?
It is important to insert your references correctly, please click here to read the guidelines.

How do I add my (co-)authors?
To add (co-)authors you must add their details on the ‘(co-)authors’ page. Click on ‘Add a new co-author’, fill in the details and click on the ‘Save co-author’ button at the bottom of the page. You can change the order of the authors by dragging them up or down.
Please note: (co-)authors cannot be added after submission.

I do not have any co-authors, how should I continue?
If you do not have any co-authors you can continue by skipping this step, please click on the ‘Next’ button.

Can I make changes to my abstract after submission?

No, after submission of the abstract it is not possible to make changes.

When and how will I know if my abstract has been accepted?
The abstract will be reviewed for presentation and publication if you have finalised your registration on or before 15 April 2019. An abstract that is not accepted for publication in our journal supplement can still be accepted for presentation at the congress. The presenting author will be informed of the decision of the scientific review committee before 1 July 2019. ECNP will not enter into discussion about the outcome.

What happens if I don’t complete my registration on or before 15 April 2019?
If you do not complete your registration on or before 15 April 2019, your abstract will be deleted and therefore not presented for review.

Where can I find the congress abstracts?
The abstracts that have been accepted for publication will be posted on the online programme, the ECNP app and printed (after the congress) in a supplement to the journal European Neuropsychopharmacology. Please note: an abstract that is not accepted for publication can still be accepted for (e-)poster presentation during the poster sessions at the congress and will be mentioned in the programme booklet.
  
Are posters available on the ECNP website?
Yes, but only posters of authors that have granted permission to have their poster posted on the website. These posters can be found on the online scientific programme. The posters will be posted on the website after the congress. Abstracts of poster presenters are available online a month before the start of the congress.

I have ordered the congress supplement to the journal European Neuropsychopharmacology during registration, when will I receive the printed copy by regular mail?
This journal will be sent to you by regular mail within 16 weeks after the congress. The supplement will not be available during the congress.

What is the ECNP CDE Grant?
For abstract submitters who are resident of a European country with a developing economy* there are a number of CDE grants available (provided your abstract is accepted for presentation and you present your poster at the 32nd ECNP Congress in person).
This grant consists of free registration to the congress and EUR 500 to support travel expenses for the 32nd ECNP Congress.
*CDE-countries within Europe are: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia-FYR, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.

Are abstract submitters outside Europe eligible for a CDE Grant?
No, CDE Grants are only handed out to poster presenters from European CDE countries*.
*CDE-countries within Europe are: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia-FYR, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.

Is the CDE Grant for all participants from a CDE country?
Application for the CDE Grant is open to all presenting authors residing in a country with a developing economy (CDE) within Europe*.
*CDE-countries within Europe are: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia-FYR, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.

How can I apply for a CDE Grant?

When registering for the congress there is a box you can tick to apply for a CDE Grant: ‘European CDE abstract submitter, requesting a CDE Grant’. Please note that there is no CDE Grant application box in the online abstract submission form.

If I am both a European early career scientist and European CDE abstract submitter, which registration option should I select during registration?
The registration option ‘European CDE abstract submitter, requesting a CDE Grant’ should be selected. If you will not be selected for the CDE Grant you can convert your registration to ‘Early career scientist abstract submitter, residing in Europe’. In this situation we will send you further instructions in the CDE Grant application outcome letter.

When do I know if I will be given a CDE Grant?
Your abstract will be presented for review if you have completed your online registration on or before 15 April 2019. We will inform you about the CDE Grant review outcome before 1 July 2019.

If I have been given a CDE Grant, when will I receive the money?
The grant will be paid after the congress. Grant winners will receive an e-mail immediately after the congress with an online form where the bank account details should be given.

If I have been given a CDE Grant, should I book my own travel and accommodation?
